1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Configura. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

These terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers of our website and custom furniture configurator services. Please read them carefully before making a purchase or using our site.

2. Custom Manufacturing Process

Made-to-Order Products

All furniture sold through Configura is custom-made to order based on your specifications using our configurator tool. Production begins only after you place and pay for your order.

By placing an order, you acknowledge that:

• Your furniture is manufactured specifically for you and cannot be resold to other customers
• Production timelines are estimates and may vary based on complexity and workshop capacity
• Natural materials (wood, leather, fabrics) may have variations in color, grain, and texture
• Product images are representative and your custom piece may differ slightly
• Once production begins, modifications or cancellations are not possible

3. Use of Our Website & Configurator

Permitted Use

You may use our website and configurator tool for lawful purposes only. You agree not to use our site:

• In any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• To transmit harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• To impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• To interfere with or disrupt our website or servers
• To attempt unauthorized access to our systems or configurator data
• To engage in any form of automated data collection or scraping

Account Security

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Your saved configurations are stored in your account for your convenience. We are not responsible for loss of saved configurations.

4. Products and Pricing

Product Information

We make every effort to display our products and their attributes as accurately as possible through our configurator. However, we do not guarantee that product descriptions, colors, images, or other content on our site are accurate, complete, or error-free. Natural materials will have unique variations.

Pricing

All prices are displayed in the currency selected for your region. Prices shown in the configurator are real-time and may change without notice. The price you pay is locked in at checkout.

In the event of a pricing error in our configurator or website, we reserve the right to cancel any orders placed at the incorrect price and notify you of the cancellation with a full refund.

Material Availability

While we strive to keep all materials and finishes in stock, certain options may occasionally become unavailable. If a material you selected becomes unavailable after you place an order but before production begins, we will contact you to select an alternative or offer a full refund.

5. Orders and Payment

Order Acceptance

All orders are subject to acceptance and material availability. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to material availability, errors in pricing or product information, suspected fraudulent activity, or technical feasibility of the configuration.

Payment

Full payment is required at the time of purchase for all custom furniture orders. We accept major credit cards and digital payment methods. All payments are processed securely through third-party payment processors.

By providing payment information, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to use the payment method and that all information is accurate and complete.

Order Confirmation & Production

You will receive an email confirmation once your order is successfully placed. This confirmation includes your configuration details and estimated production timeline. Order acceptance and production commencement occur within 2-3 business days, after which cancellations are no longer possible.

6. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping rates and delivery options vary based on your location and the size of your custom furniture. Delivery times are estimates only and begin from date of shipment, not order placement. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs, or unforeseen circumstances.

Risk of loss and title for products pass to you upon delivery. You must inspect your furniture upon delivery and note any damage on the delivery receipt.

7. Returns, Cancellations, and Warranty

Because all furniture is custom-made to your specifications, our return policy differs from ready-made furniture retailers. You may cancel within 48 hours of order placement for a full refund if production has not begun.

We do not accept returns for change of mind on custom furniture. We do accept returns and provide replacements for manufacturing defects, damage in transit, or incorrect specifications (our error).

All furniture is covered by a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage from misuse.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including the configurator tool, text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and software, is the property of Configura A/S or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, display, perform, publish, license, create derivative works from, reverse engineer, or sell any content from our website or configurator tool without our express written permission.

The Configura name, logo, and all related product names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Configura A/S. You may not use these marks without our prior written consent.

Furniture designs you create using our configurator are for your personal use only and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without our written permission.

9. User Content & Configurations

If you submit content to our website (including reviews, comments, photos of your furniture, or saved configurations), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display such content for marketing and promotional purposes.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to submit the content and that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Configura A/S and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our website, configurator, or products.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product or service giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for delays in production or delivery due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including material shortages, workshop capacity, or force majeure events.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our website, configurator tool, and products are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that our website or configurator will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy of configurator renderings or that the finished product will exactly match digital previews.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Configura A/S and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of our website, configurator, or products
• Your violation of these Terms of Service
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Any content or configurations you submit to our website

13. Privacy

Your use of our website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information and saved configurations. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Configura A/S is a Danish company registered at CVR: 15214236.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of our website shall be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with Danish arbitration rules.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

For orders already in production, the terms in effect at the time you placed your order will apply.

If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
